Hearts’ desires weren’t any further than our own back yard.

Basking in the sun’s warmth, open to a world filled with wonder, our imagination and creativity ruled the day. Gazing up at cotton-candy confections, we wistfully watched clouds evolving from mysterious faces to mermaids to animals on parade. As evening approached, we lazily embraced the sky’s magical transition from a palette of pastel blues to a glittering starry night of the deepest indigo. We lived in a place where dreams were born and time was never planned…

Abiding in the land of all-grown-up, a coffee cup in one hand, a check list in the other, we’re riveted to the screen and carefully examining assignment objectives line by line: production goals; timelines; outlines; budgets; schedules; strategy; concept; creative direction; presentations; reviews; and final approvals. We pause and anticipate budget meetings, client meetings, concept meetings, production meetings, strategy meetings, follow-up meetings and meetings to discuss the meetings.

Reexamining our list, convinced we’ve finally got everything under control, a surprise phone call finds us once again careening the unpredictable currents of technology, humanity and client requests. We reassess and realize it’s time to refresh. It’s time to go home.

Gazing out the window with confidence, preparing to take flight into the starry, starry night; we hold on to our hats and let go. The warm breezes of imagination bolster our journey and creativity softly brushes our cheeks. We’re flying to that place where dreams are born and time is never planned.
